IFRS 15 and corporate performance management – complement or contradiction?
Many companies are already in the middle of major financial transformation projects or just about to start them. Heterogeneous ERP systems are harmonized or – to achieve genuine modernization – replaced by a new ERP generation. The scope and complexity of transformation projects suggests that the sustainability of the performance management model, the value flows and hence the future information needs of management should also be considered. This is the only way to ensure that the transformation generates not just a new, faster “engine”, but also a state of the art “navigation system”.
