Our new partners 2021

Horváth & Partners has expanded its management team with four new partners as of April 1, 2021. Gábor Ádám, Roxana Boramir, Dr. Johannes Isensee and Dr. Peter Schentler were newly admitted to the partnership. In the following, they explain what motivated them to join the partnership, what they are most looking forward to in their new role, what a good work-life balance looks like, and what advice they have for new colleagues.

Nobody can play a symphony on a flute. You need an orchestra to play one.

Gábor Ádám

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PARTNERSHIP! WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PURSUE THIS PATH?
I was growing in the mindset in the last 15 years, that “you can make your innovation and entrepreneur dreams come true” within Horváth. It is filling me with motivation that we can tackle challenges with Clients and Colleagues who are passionate about innovative thinking. Building Horváth on data driven solutions using innovation is my main fuel.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
As W. Edward Deming said: “Without data, you're just another person with an opinion.”, and I truly believe that for all challenges we should use data to provide a well-founded answer. On the other part in most of the cases using data is a challenge itself. I would like to achieve a vision where in all projects data is used as an asset, a catalysator to provide a value-added foundation to ideas, answers, decisions and business actions.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE: WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO MOST IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I do ski mountaineering, rock-climbing or windsurfing depending on the season. I really like to feel the nature around me, and I am also passionate about to preserve the state of it. I have a beautiful family, and my 2-year-old son already loves helping in the garden and going out to nature with my wife and me.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW COLLEAGUES?
As I hinted using data is a challenge itself, I suggest not to see this as a burden, but an opportunity to open the “Matrix” and see meanings, information that is lying inside and not just the “red dress”. Learn new technologies, pursue your ideas to make it come true, Horváth is a great environment and community for discovery.

Roxana Boramir

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PARTNERSHIP! WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PURSUE THIS PATH?
Taking the step in the partnership, for me personally is the most important one in my career so far. My motivation: „You might be the first one for many things. Make sure, that you are not the last one “(Amanda Gorman)

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
I am happy, for having the possibility to develop and further enrich the future and the success of Horváth and being a part of it.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE: WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO MOST IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I love travelling and my free time do allocate it to my second passion after consulting, fashion.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW COLLEAGUES?
Paulo Coelho has formulated this very inspiring: „The possibility that dreams can come true, makes life more interesting." Having this in mind, my credo: it is always worth to fight for your dreams and deliver the correspondent performance.

Dr. Johannes Isensee

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PARTNERSHIP! WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PURSUE THIS PATH?
I have been working at Horváth for over 10 years and love the daily work in projects with our clients. I value our culture, the collaboration with employees and clients, and the opportunity to realize myself within the company - I want to continue on this path in the future.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
In my new role, I can get even more involved in the further development of our solutions and in the holistic support of our customers. I am therefore looking forward to taking on even more responsibility together with our teams and contributing to the achievement of our strategy but also the goals of our customers.

WORK-LIFE BALANCE: WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO MOST IN YOUR FREE TIME?
Our one-year-old daughter is currently the most excited about every free minute. It is fascinating to observe her daily development. In addition, I enjoy living with my family in Hamburg by the water and being close to the sea.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW COLLEAGUES?
The consulting business is highly dynamic and constantly opens up new opportunities. Contribute your ideas and actively pursue them within the company and with our customers. As a team, we can achieve enormous things and celebrate many more successes together - it's worth it.

Dr. Peter Schentler

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE PARTNERSHIP! WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO PURSUE THIS PATH?
It has always excited me to actively support clients in the conception and implementation of innovative topics, and to continuously encounter new companies, topics, and challenges. For this reason, management consulting was - and still is - very exciting for me. In addition, it was always important to me to be able to actively shape the direction in which "my" company develops, and to take responsibility for it. To be able to combine both, striving for partnership was the logical consequence.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN YOUR NEW ROLE?
I am looking forward to get more strongly involved in all discussions about the future development of Horváth; focusing on achieving our strategy 2030. And looking at our culture and our events, to take over also an active role in our next camp(s).

WORK-LIFE BALANCE: WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO MOST IN YOUR FREE TIME?
I like to do different kind of sports, especially scuba diving and jiu jitsu. Looking at a more passive sport perspective, I am a huge fan of Formula 1. Additionally, I also like travelling and visiting new countries. And I enjoy a good glass of wine - in non-Corona times preferably together with good friends.

WHAT TIPS WOULD YOU GIVE TO NEW COLLEAGUES?
With regard to consulting: When in doubt, always opt for the more exciting project – even if it seems more challenging and difficult in the beginning. And always take problems and challenges seriously, but don't let them bother you too much. And regarding work-life balance: Enjoy life and do the things you like most.
