Strengthening Managers with a Tailor-Made Development Program

The challenges

W&W has always encouraged its managers at different hierarchical levels to develop their leadership roles in a targeted manner. The aim is to create a uniform understanding of management - in line with the W&W management philosophy. It is also important to develop leadership skills appropriate to the respective level. The program has been running for over 10 years in close cooperation with Horváth and is regularly reviewed and adapted to the latest findings and strategic objectives.

Our approach

Every year, Horváth works closely with W&W to develop customized development programs that are specifically tailored to the needs of different management levels (especially new managers and experts). The programs comprise three to four training modules with a thematic focus, such as virtual leadership or employee evaluations. In addition to interactive face-to-face formats, the program includes individual check-ins to clarify requirements, transfer tasks between the modules and final check-outs with feedback and impact evaluation. Optional on-demand coaching sessions are available to provide support.

The solution

Several groups with a total of over 400 managers were trained each year. The modular, demand-oriented structure makes it possible to react quickly to new requirements. The programs specifically promote modern leadership skills such as agility, innovation and the ability to change and combine theory and practice in a vivid way. The results of the programs are regularly evaluated and are incorporated into further development both in comparison with previous years and in benchmarking with other companies.
