Transformation by any ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

Holistic advisory for ERP transformations.

Enterprise Resource Planning

Whether statutory reporting, procurement and sales, or production and value-creation processes: an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system forms the backbone of an organization. Once im-plemented, an ERP system typically remains in use for more than ten years – often even for 20 years or longer. When companies decide to introduce a new system, they face a rapidly changing market land-scape: traditional on-premise solutions are losing relevance, while cloud-based ERP providers with industry- and value-chain-specific solutions are gaining momentum. Many organizations struggle to maintain an overview. We provide that clarity. We help you select the ERP solution that best fits your organization – in terms of functionality, operating and licensing model, user experience, and industry-specific re-quirements.

Our approach

Our approach

ERP transformation : We know the drivers behind a system change

At some point, every organization reaches the moment when its existing ERP system must be reassessed. The reasons are manifold:

  • Version and support: The end of vendor support for the current ERP system is approaching.
  • Future readiness and automation: Missing automation capabilities or built-in AI support lead to a structural cost disadvantage compared to competitors.
  • Maintenance and complexity: Many ERP systems have become highly complex, difficult to maintain, and are often understood by only a few key individuals.
  • Growth and scalability: Business growth is constrained, for example when entering new markets or introducing new business models.
  • Heterogeneous ERP landscape: Complex, historically grown system landscapes, often driven by M&A activities.
  • Change of operating model: Planned migration to the cloud to reduce or outsource internal IT infrastructure.
  • Lack of transparency: Slow financial close processes and limited self-service capabilities.

Process Experise : Putting your business functions at the center

Our conviction is clear: an ERP transformation is first and foremost a business-driven initiative, not a purely IT-driven project, even though close alignment with IT is essential.

The focus therefore lies on clearly defined, complete, and technically viable business requirements that can be translated into effective ERP processes. We bring deep process expertise and a thorough understanding of the specifics of leading ERP solutions. Whether system introduction, optimization, or extension of your existing ERP landscape – we support you throughout the journey.

ERP selection process : Vendor-neutral and business driven advisory

Selecting a new ERP system is a strategic decision with long-term implications. It should therefore be based on a sound methodology and a clear focus on sustainable impact.

We support you with a holistic approach, from strategic alignment and process harmonization to system integration. Our objective is a clear ERP strategy that defines global guiding principles while accommodating local requirements. We know the relevant ERP vendors and their functional characteristics and advise you independently.

Our standardized and transparent selection process identifies the ERP solution that best fits your organization:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations : Positioning the solution across different organizational requirements

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is a cloud-based ERP platform embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem. The solution covers finance, supply chain, and production processes and offers broad modular functionality. At the same time, Dynamics 365 F&O provides extensive configuration and extension capabilities to reflect individual business requirements.

In our view, D365 F&O is particularly suitable for organizations that:

  • already rely heavily on Microsoft applications such as Office 365, Azure, or the Power Platform,
  • operate with relatively manageable value-creation structures (e.g. without cross-entity production processes),
  • have business models where core operational value creation takes place outside the ERP system (e.g. logistics or service companies),
  • or prefer a lean, standard-oriented ERP approach to reduce implementation effort, costs, and project duration.

We consider D365 F&O to be less suitable for organizations that:

  • are highly complex and require a high degree of customization,
  • need deeply integrated controlling logic and follow a strongly German-influenced controlling philosophy,
  • expect extensive industry-specific functionality directly within the standard system,
  • or are currently running SAP ECC.
