The challenges
Amprion, one of the four German transmission system operators, planned to modernize the management of organizational development. This was necessary in order to master the energy transition and ensure sustainable growth at the same time. The new approach should be specifically tailored to the challenges of an investment ramp-up. The existing methodology for strategic personnel planning was very detailed and involved a great deal of effort. The aim was to achieve more efficient and aggregated planning that is closely linked to financial planning.

Our approach
Horváth developed a clear target image for optimized strategic personnel planning. The focus was on an aggregated view at the functional level. A new, cross-divisional functional model was used and detailed driver analyses were used to precisely identify future strategic requirements. This new and customized approach was introduced in a pilot project to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of planning at Amprion.
The solution
The new methodology led to clear job architectures and unambiguous effort drivers that were backed up with quantity structures. The planning processes were scrutinized, redesigned and systematically integrated into the IT systems. The pilot covered all relevant areas. Clearer and more efficient management of personnel planning was already achieved in this phase, paving the way for Amprion's future.
I have been working with Horváth since the beginning of 2022 on one of the most important projects for us: personnel planning. Horváth is committed, demanding and has understood that this transformation is necessary in order to be prepared for the coming years. And that's why I like working with Horváth - cool team, nice people, great work.
