Within this seminar you will receive a practice-orientated and systematic overview of the fundamentals of business management, finance and controlling. During the business simulation Factory™ you will easily learn the principals and relevant value drivers of a successful corporate management. The simulation game enables you, even without business management studies, to understand the key financial figures in a holistic context.

Interactive Simulation: Factory™

Factory is a simulation game which simulates the situation of a company and shows the possibilities of the participants to improve the company’s performance. In small groups, you will play the role of a management team of a manufacturing company. By solving multilevel tasks you will strengthen your entrepreneurial thinking, such as the ability to invest time and money where the greatest success of the company lies. Furthermore you will learn  to be aware of costs and the comprehension of the overall process of the company. You will also learn about the concept of the shareholder value and business management in an enjoyable and easy way. You will comprehend the interdependency of production, supply and distribution and get to understand the impact of overhead costs such as administration, marketing, research and development.

David Tan

is working since 2000 as a senior management trainer at Horváth & Partners. Besides lots of in house management trainings, he also maintains seminars of the Horváth-Controller-Weiterbildung. He is a lecturer at the EBS Executive Education (SITE). His main focuses are strategic management, value-based management, management control with indicators, investment controlling, business partnering, project management and “train-the-trainer” workshops. His clients are DAX30-/MDAX concerns as well as medium-sized enterprises. He studied technical orientated business management.

 

Prices & Details

Participation fee

  • The participation fee for two days is EUR 1.490,- plus VAT
  • Presentation documents, coffee and lunch breaks as well as snacks and beverages are included

Number of participants

The seminar is limited to 15 participants. Minimum number of participants is six participants. If there are less applications, it will be left to Horváth Akademys discretion whether the seminar will take place. If the seminar has to be cancelled, your participation fee will be repaid.

Terms of participation

In case of cancellation up to four weeks before the seminar starts, you have to pay an administrative fee of EUR 150,- plus VAT. If you cancel at a later time the participation fee cannot be repaid. Although it can be transferred to a substitute participant.

Certificate program (optional)

This seminar is part of a certificate program called “Horváth-Controller-Weiterbilung”. It can be booked individually or as a program.

By successfully completing die certificate program you can achieve the graduation title “Business Controller (EBS)”. You can find more information here.
