Finance Process Optimization

The unabating pressure to optimize the company leads to a constant need for refining organizational processes and procedures. What triggers this is the constantly changing business environment brought about by the dynamics of competition. Internal processes, organizations and systems must be flexible in order to bring about the necessary permanent and sustainable change.

All this is made possible by what are known as “service-oriented architectures”, which, for example in organization, are based upon a platform of shared service and expert centers, for processes upon segmented processes with explicit interfaces and end-to-end responsibilities, and for IT upon modular architectures with corresponding service functions.

Clear, simple structures and standardized interfaces are the decisive features on the three levels of organization, processes and IT.

The “Finance Process Optimization" team regards finance processes as an entity complete in its own right and focuses on beefing up structures within the financial departments of your company, ensuring these three levels are fit for the challenge of permanent change.

Here is a small selection of the projects we have already undertaken in this field:

  • Setting up strategic management for a pharmaceuticals company
  • Reviewing and optimizing SOX processes
  • Optimizing cash management for DAX30 company
  • Restructuring and harmonizing the internal reporting processes of an international manufacturing company
  • Industrializing tax processes
  • Optimizing the external reporting processes according to IFRS
  • Setting up a global expert center for internal accounting
  • Standardizing bank communication processes

We have helped many clients to become faster, more flexible and more cost-effective. Try our “FPO Quick Check” for a quick analysis of where you stand compared with the competition.
